Chris R: I went through this aged 9 after being stuck in the house where my father had hung himself when he couldn't cope with the physical abusive that my schizophrenic mother would put me and my sisters through (like breaking my ribs when I was 18 months old for 'crying too much' or dropping me as a baby because she thought I was crying for attention due to being a wicked child). Never had counselling as it was deemed to be too stressful for me. I felt like there was nothing but death around me. I was separated from the only people I ever loved, my sisters. I went to live with my uncle and when I was 10, I held his hand as he died of cancer. We didn't know what he had. I lost 2 fathers in like 3 years. It affected me more than I realised . Point is not to get sympathy but to hopefully inform others that the saying is so true "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger". No matter how bad it gets, you should stick in there. "Grow up" or say whatever else you have to tell yourself to get through it. Life is a blessing and when you experience a Dark Night of the Soul, you may do what I did and cry yourself to sleep every night for 2-3 years whilst being bullied at school by kids who didn't know what was up with you and unable to tell your aunt because she was almost 70 years old and had lost many brothers and sisters before her husband Sid died of cancer after we spent 2 years nursing him. If I hadn't gone through that period, I would never have been able to spend my early 20s cleaning up and caring for my aunt who had lost the ability to go to the toilet herself. At an age when other people were partying and enjoying their youth, I was looking after an old lady who had Alzheimers because she had loved me enough to take me on after my parents let me down badly and destroyed my chance of a safe or secure childhood. Life is far from peachy but I am glad of the Dark Night. It gave me strength. Yes I sometimes feel sad about the things I missed out on but I take things in my stride now that my peers feel is traumatic. Life is a beautiful adventure and I'm glad my Dark Night didn't destroy me.

Iv felt the emotions that enhance I’m suffering with a panic disorder but I understand it’s all in the mind but yes it’s bubbling up to the surface in order to fully experience in order to accept and let go. 9. Chris Popov: WTF? There is the wheel of emotions and our brain pulls them up based on our memories and experiences. The soul is totally separate - our memories and experiences do not affect it in the least. One might be tempted to "Sell" their sould to alleviate suffering (physical or emotional) but that's a really bad move. Just keep your souls people, do not make oaths and grand resolutions if you don;t want to deflate to the dark side.

Chris Popov: The soul tends to shrivel under pressure from the storms of life To counteract their effects the 7 virtues are like water, work is like the soil and emotional support is like the sun. If you r soul plant dies the scraps go in the compost pile of hell. If it manges to wether winter it may bloom again and yield friut and seeds next year in a ressurected/reincatrnate/ new life.

13. David McCurdy: I just currently experience one of the darkest periods of my life. 2 1/2 years ago my wife passed away and the pain was released. Although I miss her with every inch of my being I'm eternally grateful for the experience and I've gone through. And I am still going through.

19. ANNIHILATOR: I went through the dark knight for almost two years but I've learned more than any time in these two years . It improved when i did shadow work.Shadow work is cleaning your house . House represents home your emotions Cancer .Your emotions respond to your beliefs . How do you change beliefs ? Become aware of what your beliefs are . A lot of our beliefs are subconcious.We create them as kids. As kids we believe anything that will ensure our survival , we grow beliefs when our brain is smaller . So ya gotta update your beliefs.Are they benefitting you?If not ,identify the significant events that lead to that. Maybe they once did but now they arent anymore.Become AWARE .i kept repeating the same situations with different people the more I tried to avoid what was inside me .CONFRONT WHATS INSIDE OF YOU and then find an outlet to express it . Be aware of what youre expressing . Abuse happens when people are not aware of what theyre actually expressing.even if it's alone or the world will create an event that will forcibly bring it out . I had so many suppressed memories that came up. Not only was I denying the wrongs people had did to me ,i was denying the way I had wronged people .When you watch drama ,youre watching unresolved shadow work . Emotions that overflowed so much that people could not control them . Peoples demons started fighting each other's demons . Don't release your demons in the first place ,this ain't the juggle we dont need to do that anymore to survive
